Regarding your enquiry, I checked in with our Hoya salesperson, who answered that there were no existing plans to bring that into SG as their existing HVLL (hi-vision long life) still works pretty well.
Your prescription seems relatively low ~(75 or 100 degrees or something since you can see PC well), which prevents you from seeing distances clearly, and your presbyopia is starting to be higher than that number. Because of that, your shortsightedness, which once helped you see close up, is no longer enough.
The choice of lenses is largely dependent on your needs actually. If you want to see far clearer for things like movies, sightseeing, presentations. driving etc, then you should go for distance progressive lenses. If not, you should go for indoor progressive lenses (like office lenses), which helps you primarily for things up close like handphones.
If you make a distance progressive lenses now, you will find that it will not serve you any purpose for indoor usage.
I see that the Hoya HK site has sensity 2 listed instead of the Sensity in SG.
is it the same thing or is HOYA sg slow to release new products and using this promo to clear old stuff?
My thoughts are that they may not want to change to "Sensity 2" as they have only recently launched their Sensity Blue and are aggressively introducing it to the market now.
As a practitioner myself, I'm not even aware that overseas Hoya has Sensity 2 and Meiryo coating.

Just to check for usual normal single vision lens from hoya. The price will usually have a 20% disc off the catalog price right? or the price has risen so much over the last few years?

looking to replace my pair of glasses soon - just wondering what are the pros/cons of going for lenskart/owndays vs going for branded lenses?

IMO,if just normal short sightedness, no need to pay so much for the lens.. just go for nice looking frame.
then you can change glasses every 1/2 yrs
BUt if your pocket is deep enough, you can go for branded lenses + banded frame
Depending on which store you go to, some places may or may not give a slight discount on the catalogue price. This depends on whether they already have a bundled discount or if they are doing some other promotional mechanic.
Our salesperson just checked in with us today, and they are likely looking to bring it in next year. There isn't a strong push as their current High Vision Long Life (HVLL) coating still works really well.
There used to be a Zeiss promotion that ran from the start of August to the end of September, during which there was a free Blueguard upgrade for all Rx (customised) lenses. There may be an end-of-year one in the coming month or two
Better lenses, like Zeiss or Hoya lenses, generally provide better vision (e.g., lesser distortions with peripheral vision) and quality (e.g., scratch resistance).
Branded lenses are generally more pricier yes, but you do pay better quality lenses.
