I went to the Smart home demo during the weekends. It is quite futuristic, just like those in the movie. Impressive move, but I think people like me still hard to accept. It seem to be a gadget to me, use when fresh, disable it after that. This smart home feature cant be smart if voice recognition is not included. What do you all think?

I think a lot of the features in the demo are not included, such as auto window blind control, window sensors.

Like u mention use when fresh and wont be using after that. I myself likes gadgets very much and decided not to take the smart option and take the rebate $7500 which i can use for future renovation.

For the sake of potential buyers, I'm just asking if this rebate is offset from the selling price. Is it? Because if it is you may have to prepare cash to pay up the 80% later.

Yes. I think should be the same young pretty gal giving the demo. She is not from Samsung though. Demo only weekends after 1pm.

Worth the visit as quite good to know what smart home is in near future, though as I have said, without voice recognition for real time feedback control, it is not really smart. :s13:

It directly deduct from the selling price. I have no confidence in Samsung products from my own experience.

If not wrong grix17 is trying to share that rebate is different from opt out.
Blackman88 shud say opt out as rebate affect the loan.

Spot on. Free gift is different from direct deduction. I got the free Tab but find it laughable that the loan has to be offset by $150 as it messes up all the figures, which are in 6 digits.

Some developers give big free gifts and the buyers have to fork out a large cash sum later.

Personally, I'm concerned about the comments on the reliability of Samsung products as I did not opt out. I don't want to be changing my aircon so soon. Hopefully, timely maintenance will help.

Yes. Better word is opt-out. :)

Whether you opt in or opt out, the aircon is still Samsung. I dont have the frig when i sign. So, we dont actually get rid of Samsung even if opting out.

Bro, i opted out but also Samsung aircon. Sianz....

For aircon servicing the most 3-4 times per annum.. wat they do is only brush brush dust, clean clean filter... Simple check & nothing more...

All this anyhow smoke even the msia technician oso told me that... So after V aircon byebye to u, better get Mitsubitshi or DAIKIN.

Haha.. yes, confusing but yr banker or agent will share with u more.

In short, that $150 to u is gift now, but yr banker will need u to declare upon getting yr loan to less out this "gift", $143 in loan & $7 in initial 5% deposit....
