those who remembered the days gone by decades ago know that eastern watch was one of the bigger, more established watch shop that had chain stores iirc, rivaling cortina and hour glass. it even had TV ads during peak programming periods.

now, it's a pale shadow and hollow shell of its former glory.

recently visited its only store in 313 somerset.

rather old school. and the service? what service?

as a clue to how they're stuck with old inventory, there's even a quartz omega seamaster electric blue on display! a watch that's oop for 10 years!

so what happened? anyone knows?

老頭腦，老經營，老態度。。。這樣的老錶鋪不止在烏節，牛車水，泛島購物中心，丹戎巴葛都有。

老經營指的是家庭經營，錶鋪里的高層多數是家庭成員，中級與前線銷售服務或多或少有些家族成員。
產品展示一般上都是摻雜賣不出的舊產品，往往與時代有些脫勾。。。

老態度一般上是指不屈服於顧客的殺價，討價還價。＂只要我的鋪子在，絕對不讓你的討價還價降低我的鋪子名譽＂。老鋪在，老貨在，不怕沒有老雞啄老蟲。
＂我的高價你付不起，可以去別家。＂

老頭腦總是沒有危機意識，你跟他們談網購，他們跟你談＂誠信＂。

以上的幾點，足以定這些老鋪子的生死。要是他們還是不覺醒，在這個經濟情況不明朗的環境下，以上提到的四家，這一兩年里，肯定縮水兩個。。。

i damn bth when i see fake watches around~ shamelessly advertising their products in Watch groups and claiming it as "inspired, not fake products". Wonder where they hide their face when they collect the $ from the poor buyer

the scalloped bezels of that series of sword hand omega seamaster do tend to have have the polarizing marmite effect: you either like them... or not.
