[/QUOTE]Sorry binnie, I just wish to clarify one point - the post from GX in the owners' group wasn't quite to seek help from the group, at least this is how I see it. It was a question meant for me, directly. The question was addressed only to me.

Seeing that it was a question meant for me, I responded. Ok, sorry, I should have responded in a more sensitive manner, and while the response was factual it could appear curt. I can learn a thing or two from this.
There have been occasions where members posted there to seek help from the other members, and members were helpful.
Thanks.
QUOTE=binnie;105994699]GX, we know each other and you should know I'm quite objective and I'm not taking sides. I'm also not some random clone. I think there are 2 main issues here.
1. You sought help from the GG FB group. Nothing wrong with doing that. Could the boss have handled the enquiry on FB / sales support email better? I'm sure most would say yes (the FB reply sounded abit curt and the email felt passive aggressive). Nevertheless, the boss came out and acknowledged that he could have handled the situation more delicately and that he'll be more careful in the future. Sure, maybe he doesn't want the backlash of negative feedback to stain the "brand". But at last, he did the right thing anyway.
2. When someone enquired about the watch, you stated "Watch condition perfect". Let's be mature and apply some common sense to this la. "watch" refers to the watch as a whole, not just the case. It's knn obviously not perfect. Just be upfront and state the known defects la. What for waste your time and the potential buyer's time if you know the buyer may not buy it if he knows about the stain. Be upfront and don't withhold information la.
Elshan@Zelos is very good at this. Unfortunately I don't own any Zelos yet to support him. Pre-ordered a new model once, but that watch went into huge delay due to production fault, and my interest faded.
Emailed Elshan to request to cancel my order. He refunded a slightly higher price from what I paid to compensate the conversion charges (lower USD when he refunded me compared to when I ordered). Even though I still loose out slightly overall (was using paypal conversion rate to pay ... didn't know can choose bank conversion in paypal then), his move wins me over.
Hope he can comes out with a new watch that I cannot resist in future!!!
wow i was reading this grupo gamma thing went to sleep, woke up and it became a full blown saga LOL
calm down guys:
1. its only a watch
2. its not a very expensive watch
3. its a microbrand - it doesn't have the same resources as a big company (hence point 2)
4. there's a difference between selling new items and used items. generally used items is the responsibility of seller (caveat emptor)
not supporting anyone here but just saying perhaps better to keep it civil, keep it cool. i'm sure a resolution is easily achievable.
and i hope this doesn't cause a stain (did you see what i did there) on all microbrands rep.
i have a lot of microbrands and i support them all. not sure about you guys but for microbrands unless they are as big as Aquadive, Steinhart (then), Squale - where i expect reasonable customer service - for smaller microbrands i would " buy the watchmaker not just the watch". e.g. Jason of Halios, Elshan of Zelos... transparency and a direct relationship goes a long way for me to take care of unexpected issues.
