actually just curious, how many people here (including the lurkers ) are real certified divers who dive often? and what are your watches of choice?

dive = the one that you bloop into the water, not dive on table/play mahjong that diving

Used to wear frogman for diving, but no point if no illumination, analog dive watches are kinda useless nowadays.

Furthest I'll go is wearing black bay for snorkeling nia

Not sure why I'm attracted more towards the transitional models like the 16750 and 16660. Then again, I am always ready for a 5514/5517 if the right opportunity ever presents itself (like win lottery).

you like the in between.

5517 sia. sometimes got money also hard to find the one you like.

its not like always readily available and each piece varies from each other.

that's the beauty of vintages, you can't walk up to a store and just be so lucky to buy that piece you like.

If you appreciate newer stuff means you're not ready for vintage yet.
16750 is more of a transitional piece towards the gmt master 2.
I would take the 1675 anyday to a 16750.
There's a certain charm to old bracelet, the non quick set date.

It's your discretion actually.
For rolex. Usually 4 digits ref are.
I choose not to have quick set dates or Sapphire crystal.
Speedy I think mostly the Cal.321 and earlier.
But that's me..

but the 80s is boring, so i'll start from 70s
