Or should I dig around for a lot more $$$ and get this JLC Master Control Automatic?

Which would be a better buy? Buying for keeps. Resale value is of no concern to me. The Zenith's face is interesting and the JLC's face is less so (but still nice). But owning a JLC is so enticing ....:)

I'll pick the JLC if I got extra moolah to spend. The dial is clean n simple. From the feedback of most users, the movement Cal.899 is amazingly accurate. :)

The 899 movement had these notable improvements to increase accuracy and reliability.
- Balance-cock is equipped with two supports
- Balance spring is laser welded to the stud and collet
- Ceramic ball bearings
- Variable inertia balance

Let me check out if can help you all get at that rate. I recall last month, managed to ask cortina and they gave 10% immediately before nego. And no, I did not buy there

This is the prev version of the po right? Maybe that's the reason why the discount is higher?

Define previous version please. Unless there were any released for Basel 2013, this is the latest. There is also one with orange bezel
