my mum using last century Feature phone ... need to sign up for data plan contract ... any additional goodies if sign up with singtel under the "cheapest plan? for senior citizens?

Yes I did. I insisted! They are selling customers a Redmi 1 and passing it off as a Redmi 1S. The problem with the whole thing is that they constantly reassured and told me that it is real when it really is not. I don't mind if they are advertising that they are selling a Redmi 1.

This false advertising and misleading and pushy sales tactics is not acceptable. I'm not at Sim Lim leh. I'm at a proper exhibition "SG Tech Show" leh.

Maybe when I'm free I'd complain to the event organisers/MTI/Case. They should be banned from participating forever.

I don't know how many people bought from them got duped.

I'm still sticking to ver 12 cos it worked with framaroot but duno if the new versions can still be rooted by framaroot?

Ya. No root after that. Personally don't really need root as performance quite ok and I don't install too many stuffs. Root at this juncture for most people is more for having the capability to move apps to sdcard.

there are now many methods to get redmi; no need to rush
1. from Xiaomi Singapore, next sale is 3 june, 12noon; most who want to get redmi have already purchased, so good chance of getting it without needing to fastest-finger-first at 12noon; advantage of this method is you can purchase official accessories, e.g. screen protector, case, extra battery, extra charger, etc. but need to wait about 1week for redmi to fly in from shenzhen
2. from telcos, only buy from official retail stores; even some "exclusive retailers" are dodgy; some may feel it may not be worth to sign contract just to get a redmi; fyi, you can buy redmi with prepaid card (e.g. $169+$15card) without needing to sign contract
3. from handphone shops, but not ideal, unless you buy from reputable shops like mobilesquare, whymobile, etc. not cheaper also

p.s. if you don't mind waiting, redmi 1s is arriving in june

I didn't unroot. Just bash through with ver 15.
When at teamwin recovery page, I tab backup button coz I saw a dialogue box while still in Miui asked whether to backup app data after selecting flash. There was some gibberish msg (happened quickly) but somehow went through w/o any problem! Come to think of it now, rather weird.

REDMI - Save to SD Card - No Rooting needed

Hi, This is for REDMI, in order to save your photos to SD and it will continued to do so.. Below is the simple one steps you need to do:

First move all your photos from phone memory to SD Card using computer, and after all was done.. just try to take a photo using your phone and it will saved to your SD cards.

Simple way to check: open one photo--> go menus --> details and scroll down storage-> sdcard0 = sd card and sdcard1 = phone memory.
