Can somebody please help?

I can't seem to turn off the Haptic Feedback when using the keyboard.

Under 'Settings>Language & Input', i'm using Google Keyboard. Under 'Settings>Sound', I've turn off Vibrate on Touch.

I can't find any other options.

U need to uncheck the 'Vibrate on keypress' under Google Keyboard settings

Hi guys just want to ask did anyone of you happen to have this "Searching for GPS EM SIM ME lock" problem?? It suddenly just appeared last nite :(:(

Saw this bug thread Notification "Searching for GPS" keeps appearing - Page5 - Bugs - MIUI Official Community

Did it happen to anyone also? :(:(:(

Just realized this 2 days ago.
Here's the kicker: it seems to be only on Starhub 3G services.
I've been running my phone on M1 over the last weekend and never had this. Tuesday I used a Starhub MOBB SIM card in the WCDMA slot for data-only and my M1 voice SIM in the GSM (2G) slot for voice-only and this problem appears.
I've tried switching over to the M1 card to the WCDMA slot for 3G and never had this GPS auto-on.

Suspect Starhub 3G requires a location query. Possibly to select nearest cell tower for optimal reception. But I'm not comfortable with that.

I have a spare M1 MOBB 3G SIM. But need forgot to bring a spare SIM adapter as its cut for my iPad. Will test tonight and update everyone.

Its an Android bug.. Happened to non Xiaomi android device.. Known cure would be doing factory reset..

i think it's specifically a miui issue, not an Android one. other people tried factory reset but it's still happening cos the sim is the one asking for the location and miui doesn't block it or let the user block it.

no wonder recently i also have this gsp auto turn on problem.
I am also using starhub. When it's on 3g, the problem will come back.
if at home is use singtel wifi, the problem will go away. so annoying.
it's wasting battery power since it keep on searching with the gps auto
turn on.

i searched long for a solution, can't find. But I got a workaround using Tasker.

Basically I used tasker to detect if the GPS is on or not, if it’s on, turn it off immediately. Tasker is so fast till when I manually try to switch the GPS on, I can’t even turn it on at all, it gets switched off immediately.

Good thing this is my spare phone so I on 3G and Data once in awhile nia..but if this is your main phone then the constant switching of GPS on and off might kill the batt even more.. who knows? And of course u can’t use google maps or whatever apps that need GPS anymore.. although if u use the cell towers as location, it’s still works.

Hi.

You may try the steps below.

Security > Data usage > Select SIM 1 or 2 accordingly

Tap on the "wheel" icon located on the upper right of your screen

Turn off Restrict peak data usage under restrict data usage by app.

Cheers.

Confirmed.

I switched my M1 sim card to slot 1 and removed my Starhub data sim card.

The GPS issue disappeared.

Sianz to Starhub 3G management.

Cheers.

1S and NOTE should be coming in soon. As long as buying for REDMI stop, they will have no choice but to launch 1S and NOTE.

If you noticed that sales quantity of REDMI have dropped to 4k instead of 5K. Just stop buying and you will see new models coming in. No demand, they will not dare to keep bring in.
