1S and NOTE should be coming in soon. As long as buying for REDMI stop, they will have no choice but to launch 1S and NOTE.

If you noticed that sales quantity of REDMI have dropped to 4k instead of 5K. Just stop buying and you will see new models coming in. No demand, they will not dare to keep bring in.

Boycott from buying Redmi 1 for this upcoming sale a while, see whether they will bring in 1S on the 24th June timed-sale period..

Soft Ring Tone for Redmi

Hi Guys,

Just received my Redmi yesterday. However, I notice that the ringing tone is very soft. Is it normal ?

Confirmed.

I switched my M1 sim card to slot 1 and removed my Starhub data sim card.

The GPS issue disappeared.

Sianz to Starhub 3G management.

This is probably a crap combination between redmi and StarHub, which if it was any other combination, this bug won't surface.

This problem also happened to other Android phone. Not only Redmi.. And yes all affected are on Starhub..

Probably not cause I was previously on s4 and no such issue. No such issue on a note 3 as well. This is weird and stupid

If you tell this to Starhub they will push the blame to your phone instead of their infra, I have encounter lots of signal loss to Emergency call only, be it I am at home or outside, when I was using Note 2 I encounter such issue even now I changed to Nexus 5 this issue still persist which annoy me

As a technical person like me, I do some basic troubleshooting myself before I raise a case to Starhub, I have tested my Singtel line whether does the signal loss issue is due to the telco or my hardware of the handset, true enough after 3 months of using my Singtel line with Note 2 which it clearly appear nothing wrong with the signal loss issue, put back my Starhub line to the phone, next day issue start to resurface so I call up Starhub they told me they will investigate after 2 week they called me up told me nothing wrong at the backend and they asking me to change my SIM card I did for 3x until Starhub shop rejected my request, reflash my firmware for my Note 2, which I did it also even I send my Note 2 to Samsung they also told me nothing wrong with my set, so this is very clearly that it is Starhub backend infra issue

After I got so frustrated I bought Nexus 5 from Japan and again problem still yet to resolve still having the same issue over and over again, I told them I did various of testing until now even I change the phone it is clearly stated that your own infra having some issue on my signal just that you people don't dare to admit it to customer, yet they keep saying no one complain about such issue encounter by me and they keep on pushing the blame to my Note 2 and Nexus 5 etc end up I just ask them to close my case since I have open it for more than 6 month and nothing is being resolve by their so call "Engineer" which to me I label their Engineer is very incompetent of handling technical issue

Yes it is... Currently 3 colleagues using China MTK based phones are facing this problem... And yes they all on Starhub... Myself using China phones but not using Starhub no problem .

Maybe it's the MediaTek chip causing those problems, or maybe also StarHub..

need some quick help here. so i tried to look for some apps but i can't find it in the playstore that came with the phone. any suggestions?

one app i tried to install from the developer's website said that the app wasn't compatible with the phone, which i find it weird since it is android. any work-around or solutions?

Got my redmi last friday. I used my SD card (previously used for note 1 and note 2) for redmi but seems like the sd card detection is abit on/off.

Example:-

SD detected and usable - can play the music/see photos
After 1/2 a day, SD card undetected...
Need to reboot phone in order to detect SD card again

OR

Install theme already, SD card undetected

Is there something wrong with my redmi or my SD card ar?
