Dear redmi users, in Lite mode, we can add selected contacts onto home screen, but when press on the contact name, still need choose to call or del from home screen.

Any way to enable speed dialing? Ie press on contact name then immediately call...

Redmi is based on Android 4.2 and Mi3 is based on Android 4.3 . They do customized and optimized it and call their creation MIUI.

I think in their forum you can get rapid updates. They do have regular updates from the phone but not sure if it is weekly or monthly or quarterly.

Nice glossy look and gets rid of the protruding border of the cam hole.. i.e. making the back completely flat. How come they got this glossy black back cover? Is it available in the xiaomi sg website?

For making calls, the last used SIM used for the most recent call will be the "default", i.e. automatically selected after a time-out period.

For a new SMS, need to choose the SIM card each time, but honestly it's as simple as pressing "send" except it's a choice of the left or right button. It's unnecessary to choose the SIM when replying to an SMS.
