I did not even receive the extra payment that I paid by PayPal. No need to talk about USD60 or RED battery cover compensation.

I emailed Xiaomi and received a standard reply that refund will be made between 7 and 30 days. I plan to open dispute on 25th April if I don't get refunded by then.

Yup. Me too. My double payment wasn't refund too. Standard reply from them also.

Received the 2 through Fedex on Tuesday and the UPS delivery was yesterday. So all's good. Oh the Fedex delivery was made by a guy in Singpost uniform.

I suspect a major cause of the delivery problem is the sudden large number of deliveries to be made within a few days. While it's not easy to suddenly ramp up capacity but the couriers ought to have a plan on how to handle the requirements. Perhaps Singpost ought to be appointed as a courier. This could spread the load somewhat.

Actually it's the button (? menu/context button) to the left of the Home button at the bottom of the touch screen...

oh I get what u mean, place it together with the contact, phone, message etc right? OK will try it when the problem occurs again.

My preliminary suspect was after after long hours of usage, the memory cache running out of space and thus auto turn off the running apps.

Took the plunge to root my Redmi after using it for a week.

Everything working fine, got myself a 16GB Toshiba Exceria microSD Class 10 too. ($18.20 @ SLS)

System app remover is working very well moving apps over to sd. Deleted apps such as HangOut, Google Music (can't use in singapore) and Google+ (not useful to me). Thinking of replacing Google Pinyin with the china chinese keyboard.

Waste a few hours doing this setup, now my problem of not enough space solved. :D

yes. there are many many more apps that does this. e.g. Titanium backup, etc...

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jumobile.manager.systemapp

how to disable vibration when call pickup?

go into PHONE -> Press menu -> Settings -> Call Settings -> Scroll all the way down, "Vibrate on pickup", change this to "None".

Those complaining of GPS turning on by itself, refer here, and participate as necessary if you are facing the same bug, perhaps they will escalate for resolution if there is a need to.

Notification "Searching for GPS" keeps appearing - Bugs - MIUI Official Community

The GPS bug surfaced on my device last night, I realized that it is about EXACTLY 1 month since my first power on, might have something to do a a monthly housekeeping that it was designed to so? Regardless, the GPS will auto turn on even when I manually shut it off. Screen captures are attached in the link. I suggest those whom are genuinely interested to seek solutions in this issue to make your experience known in the attached thread as it is nobody's interest or position in HWZ that will be working to resolve new bugs.
