so if my redmi is rooted, then i got to unroot first? then flash to version 15 then root again? how do i unroot? thanks.

Updated to V15 via OTA and lost TWRP recovery and root. Using same method and files for V13 to flash and regained root again.
Same rooting method for V13 works for V15.

your first link is 478MB, but the phone's checking for update only downloads 168MB. are they different?

I just got the Redmi 1S from SG tech show.

I like to know if I should be flashing the ROM or something?
Model : HM 1SW
Abdriod 4.3 JLS36C
MIUI-JHCCNBD23.0

As I read there's a "SG" version of the ROM?
Should I be getting it?

Have been using it for a few days but keep getting some serious usability issues:

Apps (even stock) closes suddenly as if home key is pressed. Using/typing halfway just gone. Very often and random, especially after I use the phone for some time and it gets warm.

Contacts app got bugs as in any calls in recent log will make that contact non-viewable in app - must clear log. Else the contact app will crash/close suddenly.

Missed calls without log - ppl call me and say why can't connect. Happens at area with bad receptions.

Battery drain very fast

Back of phone feels very warm/hot on continuous usage.

I only installed Whatsapp on top of stock apps.

Maybe because I'm a heavy user; I've imported close to 4000 contacts and 18,000+ old SMS (which I need in my job).

Factory reset twice, same issues above.
