The TWRP 2.5 still work after the update. So far tried root-stable.zip and KingRoot without success.

My got wipe out...

Probably got replaced when it's done via Updater, I did the update via TWRP. Should be possible to replace the Stock recovery with TWRP via MobileUncle but then that require Root which at the moment not sure how!

I read that TWRP 2.5 doesn't work under MIUI 6.. need to use TWRP 2.8.4. Anybody tested it?

anyone know how to get back to 4.2.2 ? been spending a whole day trying to revert back. The KK use the phone storage space for saving of items and not using the SD card. Totally useless.

Not only that, I can't edit any files on my external SD. Eg.. renaming, cut/paste.. is this a bug or what?

Not quite sure, perhaps it refer to Developer ROM instead. As mentioned, I used this to update v6 ROM as well as stable-root.zip without issue. The thingy with TWRP is it doesn't complain even if it's incompatible ROM used unlike the stock recovery which immediate return "invalid partition".

No issue leh, can copy/cut and paste. I assumed you're using the default "File Explorer". I recommend using ES File Explorer instead as certain file type doesn't appear in FE.

@bundy, is your Redmi 1 still under warranty when you get them to restore to v5? Maybe when I have the time will try to downgrade to v5 and see got face any issue or not. Meanwhile getting to like v6, other than not able to root and some minor bugs.

LOL, Xiaomi probably have your phone info by now.

Think I going to switch back to v5 soon as without root privilege, a lot thing cannot be done. Now got a few apps just refuse to uninstall! :s11: Also a couple of times, the phone just reboot by itself when I merely doing a swipe.

What do you meant by "halfway connection lost"? ROM update is done locally reading from sdcard.

Anyway, I done with this so-called stable release. Converted mine to CN set and now using Miui 7 Developer ROM which is updated weekly.
