Well, it's "stable" according to Xiaomi. Actually the latest "stable" version for Miui v5 is V31 just that it's not shown on their download page. According to most users, V16 is the most "stable", version after that is just full of bloatware.

Xiaomi "stable" is like may be "stable". They does not seem to do lots of UAT before releasng it.

They couldn't care less for an EOL model, making profit from releasing new one every few months is top on their list.

At lease not as many bugs compare to Miui. Miui bugs is like never end.
Next, I do not think Xiaomi want to position themselves similar to other OEM brand.

Simple stuff like this shouldn't be that hard to resolve in the first place! All I can say is, thanks Xiaomi for your stable ROM!!

Hi all. Need advice from experts here.

Previously, I have one voice only SIM plan in 1 slot, and another data only SIM plan in the other slot.

Recently, the voice only SIM plan has been upgraded to voice+data. I attempted to take out the data only SIM, keeping the voice+data SIM inside the Redmi. But the voice+data is unable to be used for voice calls or SMSes.

Is here anything I need to do to rectify the issue? I also notice no matter which slots I put the SIM cards into, the naming of SIM1 and SIM2 in the Redmi is according to he ascending order of the SIM card numbers, not which slots they are put into.

Also, does it matter which slot I put the voice+data SIM into?

Which of Miui version is your phone running on? For Miui 6, there is default settings to choose which SIM slot to use for voice and data.

BTW, do take note that slot 2 only support 2G network so in your case it's best to use slot 1.

The voice+data SIM card is already in slot 1, but it is displayed as SIM2 in the Redmi.

Not sure how to check the Miui version, but under Settings>Phone, it shows that the phone is running on Miui-JHBMIBF19.0(??) .. think it is V5...

Try changing the text of the SIM which is under SIM Card Settings. Also check the preferred network type and cellular network (auto is on).

I also have this problem but that is on Miui 6.

Why don't simply reinstall the missing apps?

the thing is, i dont have browser or the xiaomi app store on my phone.

Tried to go into fastboot but it just stuck there.

Put an update.zip inside and try to use recovery to flash also cannot.

For Play Store, just search for googleinstaller.apk

i tried downloading the playstore apk by itself.

Tried to install some app but keep getting error. Am i usppose to have full set of google services?

IIRC, there was some problem getting Play Store install when I was trying out the Developer ROM but eventually still managed to get it working.

There is no need to install the full set of Google services, just install those that you need. Personally I removed a number of these useless apps but of course have to retain those core one.
