you plan on doing testing on coolers? I saw recently that a few thermalright coolers like the royal knight 120 and the royal pretor 130 already on sale for 1-2 months, but not a single person has made a review on them strangely. Quite cheap also, on taobao the rp130 is about $55

You sponsor him 🤪

Hmm.. I have tried writing in to Thermalright but they no hiew me.. I see what I can do.. will ask again.

Hmm.. normally I won't ask end user to sponsor de, cos I also end user ma hahahhaha

haha... i just shamelessly asking to see if he interested to test them :ROFLMAO:
any person suggest, I will try to execute lor.. but am not expert, say first ya.. since year 2023, I forbid myself from spending pc parts for open views, except for processors. kekkekekekk

Hmm. Actually what processor are you using. To be honest. Most of my builds are with liquid AIOs as Singapore this hot weather without aircon cannot tank highend processor. Plus aircooler react differently from Singapore as compared to cooler country. Also to the fact our atmosphere is surrounded by warm air. So whatever draws in your case will be warm air without aircon. This is the reason why I only choose to run liquid cooler. Plus all my testing on aircoolers not matter what it will hit 95 max. Even the DH-15, ramping at full fan speed. The temp will be at best 91. So ya, depends which processor you are using.

7800x3d, generally prefer air cooler cuz i lazy to mount radiator all that lol. Heard the RP130 is a few degrees better but who knows. I'll find out in 1-2 weeks when the RP130 comes, just ordered it

Ooo 7800X3D is not difficult to cool. I will just install a thermalright PA 120 SE and call it a day.

AM5 IHS is very thick and thus the thermal transfer is very bad, you need the heatsink to be a lot colder than the heatspreader to quickly transfer the heat over to the heatsink, so for example u can achieve this with AIO, overkill solutions basically.

On air cooler better don't throw 128W to 1 CCD, temps gonna skyrocket real fast on full load.

ya i know... but personally too lazy to install a radiator.. traumatized from my old pre-build one where the radiator very hard to remove. Probably the 3d-Vcache stacking causes some heat insulation, so become very hard to cool. Just want to try some new air coolers and hope it reduce by a few degrees

Kooling Monster KOLD-01 is very similar to AirHut GX-14 performance in cooling minimal margin of error differences.

I only repaste CPU.
Repaste cpu in order to get the idea temperature ? 9800x3d temperature at the high side ? Try water cool your 9800x3d if you need to bring down the temperature ?
If i'm correct, repaste cpu has to remove motherboard, it's a tedious task. :)

Gpu wise, it's thermal paste might be dry up if you repaste after warranty over. 1 year of warranty is good enough. :)

You do not need to remove motherboard to repaste cpu. He is already on AIO.

why not delid the chip? It's the only way that actually works to get better temps in am5.
YK is only testing diff in perf for various brand. delid or stock does not show u which paste is better and worse direct die prefer LM to work more effectively
