My FX8350 and ATI 5870 is still running as a secondary system, so probably 10 years? ;)

But I agree. I like TFX because it seems to be 'set and forget'.

I've tried out Caig Deoxit on my really old rams and gpu contacts that had been giving issues due to oxidation (been bsoding), and it's been working fine ever since.
Yup, sometimes is not that it's damage. Just that Singapore weather is humid. things like rubber goes britter easily, metal or chrome surface get tarnish, just like GPU or CPU heatsink.. very disgusting. thats why any electronic contact cleaner or as what you've mentioned the Caig Deoxit (premium product) will save your PC parts which are due to poor contact from oxidation.

hmm.. pardon me. besides thermal paste, not too sure if anyone is aware of this. Maybe is to the extreme but electronic contact cleaners not only clean the surface of your PCB boards, but it does degrease dust or corrosion between soldering points. I have tested a few boards and found out that it does help further in under-volting.. Maybe someone here can give it a try to see if it yield better OC results, Besides this, I have a friend who was having issues with a pair of working ram sticks, but the board did not recognize it at first. After applying this spray. things just work out fine.

Thanks for sharing bro, you gave a very good guide on how to work about with cleaning up the gpu with contact cleaner and soft brush within your video... (y)
I do that too every once a year even if i watercooled my gpu. Because i always ran bareback for my gpu with a 92mm or dual 40mm fans on the back thru out all my graphic cards, dust and oxide layer will accumulate very fast on the surface, especially on the SMD behind the GPU. Normally i also use a soft brush and 3M Quick Drying Contact Cleaner to clean up the dust and oxide layer, last step with hair dryer blow to prevent any water vapour trap under the small gap like SMD or chokes or controllers eg.
I also clean it up too with on a near 6 month graphic card when i stripped back to stock cooling heatsink before i pass it down to my niece recently, just to make sure she will feel comfortable like brand new graphic card.
For performance wise, the GPU and PCB temp is slightly lower. GPU clock frequency will maintain slightly stronger a little bit under full load. :giggle:

Dunno why they don't list out the affected batch numbers, lazy to unmount and check the cold plate.
I am also very curious not sure how many was really being affected since no specific batch was mentioned.

oh expired already still can use?

I feel the expiration date should not affect the usability of the thermal compound, unless you try to squeeze it and it is dry, and or, hardened. I've ever used a Thermalright thermal compound which is expired for a long time. However because it was anyway very thick and hard to spread since day 1, it remained the same when I tried applying it. And I did not notice any significant change in thermal performance.

My goto is Thermalright TFX for sure.
3 weeks in, GPU max temps 40 degrees at 450W. Hotspot Delta 6-7 degrees difference max.
CPU 5.5Ghz OCTVB (Custom LLC) with 5.2/5.3 all core in games sitting 73 degrees max. Average is mid-high 60s in games.
Long term stability FTMFW.
Hmm...

Okie added to my cart. Trust you :D

Later I upload some screenshots. 😊

This thread previous page I uploaded a video of my in-game play but stock CPU. GPU was overclocked and sitting around 37-39 degrees max. All fuelled by Thermalright TFX.

Been strictly using Kingpin KPX. Dries out less than kryonaut, offers similar performance. Easier to apply too. Me and some friends shared shipping to get the 30g tube. Since I change parts so often and do cooler comparison for myself, the big tube was worth it :)

I do maintainance on my rig every 6 months so dry out isn't that big of an issue. But I will check out the tfx though. Seems pretty nice.

Used Kryonaut around 7700K period and AQC Cryos Cuplex NEXT CPU Block and I pointed out this very low viscosity pastes breaks down quick especially when there is high thermal density as well. Looks like this hasn't changed from launch till now. Likewise for a Zotac 1070 Mini the thermals raised by around 10C over a short span of use (less than 6 months).

The varying measurements on TIM spec isn't a tell all especially with no long term testing. Especially in the age of internet influencers and prettied up specs to look good on paper.
