One simple work-around is to use Pi-hole or Adguard Home DNS filtering. In this case, TP-Link EB810v will still the main router in the network, handling NAT and DHCP. Only the DNS server function is passed to Pi-hole or Adguard Home.
It is not that difficult to set up Pi-Hole or Adguard Home DNS as Container inside Synology NAS. So no need extra hardware.
