Hello I have starhubs 10g plan with the eb810v router. They at first told me that it will surely be able to cover my house so we signed on the plan. Now after recovering the router, it cannot cover the whole house at all. Since we already paying 100+ per month for this plan we didn't want to pay another 300+ for another router.
So we bought a easymesh compatible router, archer c64 from tp link but after setting it up. We have WiFi dropouts all the time( connected without Internet) tired with both wireless and ethernet backhaul but same issue for both.
Thanks guru!1) Firstly Archer C64 is certainly not a good buy. It is not a good idea to mix WiFi 7 router with WiFi 5 router. Archer AX72 will be a better buy at around S$80 BNIB from Carousell.
2) Secondly TP-Link EasyMesh is not mature now. It will be even worse for EB810v since it is a service provider model so the bug fixes and feature enhancement is slow. So you may just give up using EasyMesh, but rather set up the Archer C64 as AP mode (same SSID and same password as the main EB810v first, if not good then use diferent SSSID). Usually the same SSID method will work for roaming since TP-Link EasyMesh is based on 802.11 k/v.
3) Thirdly, it is indeed better to get another EB810v from Starhub since you are a Starhub user -- 10G capable WiFi 7 routers are expensive and get a second EB810v at S$360 from Starhub is a bargain. This is the only configuration which Starhub recommends to mesh with the main EB810v.

You can extend the coverage by purchasing another TP-Link EB810v. The 2nd unit can be purchased at $15 per month (for 24 months) from StarHub during initial sign-up.

Oh I see, thansk for such a in depth review. Can I ask how do I set it up in AP mode in the same ssid? And would it require me to switch between wifis in different rooms?

But $100.. nobody refused to sell me at $80
It works like a charm as it resolves my in connectivity at the far edge of my flat

With in-built DNS server, I fail the DNS test on IPv6 although I can also ping those sites you mentioned.

I noticed that if use other DNS, my ip address will not change.No, that means Starhub IPv6 got some problems.
Probably not a major issue as the other users on 1Gbps/2Gbps plans. Nevertheless still an issue.
In any case, it is probably a good idea not to use Starhub DNS servers, no matter for IPv4 or IPv6.
