Exactly. Buy what you need there cause the price can be quite attractive. Other than that, don't do anything else there.

There was once when I was there buying gpu and I saw the guy throwing a assembled casing around (nt sure whether it's newly assembled or send in for trouble, but it looks very new). Then they throw the boxes on top of it and stack it. Then they bring out a elite 341 and kick it to a corner.

So morale of the story... never assemble at tradepac =/ Too violent le...

the processor might be tray processor. not sure for amd terms and condition but for intel they won't accept and warranty is usually 1 year by shop. correct me if i'm wrong

The reason such shop flourish is because of these people still support them.

I bought only 1 item from them and never go back, such shop should starve to dead IMO.

I dont trust tradepac. Tat time they advertise 5850 for $269 and the ah neh say it's the same for bundled or alone price. but apparently they dun have stock.. ****i.. curse these people.

My BE chip does come with the stock hsf. My guess is with the rest, they take go resell.

Did your friend specify that he wants to keep all the box? Cause sometimes i see people get their rigs assembled, they hand carry the pc back only, don't see any boxes. I'm assuming they tell the shop they don't want the boxes then they throw away.

I slammed on the table and told them i will never buy from them again. The boss is a nice man, but the brother is a total a55.

Last time i bought from Bell P45 system they also ask me if i want the boxes... i say i only want the CPU and Mother Board box... The rest they help me throw away.

Even if throw away all the boxes, the spare screws, driver cd, manual and whatever cables must return to customers. Unless customers don't want them back.

I don't understand why need to go that shop, never in my consideration before. Is it a lot cheaper? If not, might as well go to PCT, their price already low enough. Don't tell me go this shop because it's $5 cheaper for a $1000 system.

on average, it is about 10% cheaper.

Due to this, it is always the first shop I go, else I will get from PCT or BB.

No, we can't do that, many issue need to address if we start a "Hall of Shame" thread.

There are bound to be dishonest shops as well as dishonest customers around. What we see is not what we get most of the time, naming any particular shop as dishonest or scam need to address the legal issue first. We can't be sure whether the case is genuine or an attempt to smear the reputation of the shop.

Feedback or to discuss about the missing components thread like this is ok but not to the extend of a dedicated thread of "Hall of Shame" or "Hall of dishonest shops". We might just fall into the trap of someone trying to smear the reputation of a shop out of hatred or misunderstanding which can be resolve easily.

Due to the Videopro case last time, HWZ cannot be seen to endorse nor refute the forummers' opinions with regards to any retailer. That's why we have a Ratings board forum, so that forummers can make their opinions known there and the others can read and make conclusions for themselves. We have to be neutral about this.
