using Win-HVR-900, can view HD5, Digital 5, 8, CNA and TV Mobile. But for HD5, sometimes is laggy. What is the problem? Note using powered antenna.

Do you have AverMedia brand USB tuner in SG?
This brand is good, they use their own software (not unstable TotalMedia), which is very stable and low resource consumption. On systems that marginally meet requirements, it performs very well. AverMedia is made in Taiwan not made in China.

it takes more cpu resource to decode hd5, so maybe it is the reason of your cpu and memory spec. what is the cpu usage when you see hd5?

100%. if i add RAM, do you think it will help to solve tix problem.

i tested with my laptop with vista os, no problem and very smooth. But when I try to link my laptop to LCD TV using HDMI cable (note: both my laptop n LCD TV got HDMI plug), it just hang after less than one minute of smooth displaying of any digital channels. Anyone know what is the problem? If I connect using VGA cable, it is very smooth.

A TV tuner card is a computer component that allows television signals to be received by a computer. Most TV tuners also function as video capture cards, allowing them to record television programs onto a hard disk.TV tuners are available in a number of different interfaces: as PCI bus expansion card, PCI Express (PCIe) bus, PCMCIA, Mini PCI Express, PCMCIA Express or USB devices. Ethernet-connected devices also exist (HDHomeRun) and (HAVA). In addition, some video cards double as TV tuners, notably the ATI All-In-Wonder series. External TV tuner card attachments are available for mobile phone handsets like the iPhone, for watching mobile TV, via TV stations on 1seg in Japan (SoftBank), and for soon for the proprietary subscription-based MediaFLO in the U.S. (Qualcomm). There is also a "converter" for watching DVB-H in Europe and elsewhere via WiFi streaming video (PacketVideo).

I using usb avermedia volar hybrid hx with the bundle antenna. The analog signals for all channels is super weak and total unwatchable. PC was about a few metres away from windows. Have try shifting the pc and antenna near the windows but signal still weak.

For digital, I can get normal ch 5 and 8 and HD5. Sometimes video was jerky too.

If get the powered antenna, do u think it will work? Where to get a cheap but good powered antenna? Thanks.
