There was a tightening of tax payment via CardUp (similar to how ipaymy works) late last year. Read the FAQ at Cardup on the new requirement to pay IRAS via Cardup.

Basically if sign up with IRAS to pay your outstanding personal tax via GIRO monthly instalment, you pay that same amount every month via the schedule given to you by IRAS. This is to "plug" the loophole where members use various methods to pay IRAS variable amount per month and let the balance deduct via GIRO.

Can still schedule to pay monthly? Thought need to pay off full balance now.

Nope. Payment to credit card bill is not considered as eligible spending.
Does that include bills from Geneco that is recurring for UOB one card? Is that also excluded as eligible spending? Thanks in advance

Sent from somewhere out there using GAGT

anyone has experience claiming back overdraft fee due to insufficient amount for GIRO?

how long do they take to credit the fee back into the account?

I called in yesterday (Saturday) and the lady said will refund but today still not reflected. not sure if must wait like 3 to 5 business days ah? what is meant by "will be reflected in the next statement"?

Maybank ISavvy gives u 2%... no condition required as long as it is 'fresh fund' for the promo period. After that, u need a 2nd ISavvy to rotate around so your funds remain 'fresh'. The limit is up to 2mil so you will never run into any ceiling issue. :D

Do you alternate them or have to take the troublesome route?
