Till this morning I receive NOTHING. Either a single SMS or email..... Tryied to call in but always saying customer hotline busy tried chat online it is always a chat bot. Tried many times but just cannot get in.

Anyone knows what is hell going on with UOB now?
I find the online chat very efficient, just that need to wait sometime if queue is long. Did you go to the link and click the small right bottom box and choose 'chat with us'? after that u will be prompted to key your particulars which will direct u to the chat agent...

i have applied two weeks ago, received an email saying that the account has been opened.

What are the next steps? I can't create internet banking account because they require the debit card number?

Previously the chat agent was good. Can check accounts, answer card queries, etc.

Now, they will say they can only ask the relevant department to call back after 2 to 3 business days.

Really lousy.

And they keep auto disconnect from the queue when it's too long. No respect for customers' time.

The think the 1st account opening is difficult. But once you have an account or credit card with them, then opening new ones is easy online.

yes, the disconnection happened for me too in my most recent chat, but once I got through, I wanted to check the MCC of my card transactions, the agent who attended to me asked me to wait and then get back to answer after a while, think it defeat the purpose of the chat platform if they need to call you back for simple queries, might as well we call ourselves to talk to them on the phone...

at least he called you back? mine didn't. really disappointed with them.

I just wanted to check my eligible spend for the card rebate and he couldn't answer me on the spot. previously they could do it immediately over the chat.

looks like I'll have to try talking to a CSO over the phone come Wednesday.

Thank you for your advice. Have tried online chat service. The chat agent said can help escalate and let me wait loh.
If they are not ready for massive new accounts open, then stop promoting and making big big advertisement

Just updated: After called in the hotline and asked them to review my application, I got a physical letter from UOB that they need me personally go to their counter verify myself and address. What a big joke ---- I used my SingPass apply and I had a FD saving account with UOB. Now applying UOB one account and one credit card.... This is the way how they handle the overwhealming requsts by asking more documents ....

UOB CS used to be good. with callbacks etc prompty.

Recent experience is quite negative. spoke to CS, mentioned will call back within a week.

I wrote in the chat to ask about callback next week, CS from chat say the callback is 3 to 5 business days.

Now is almost 2 weeks, still no callback.

Me too. I have UOB one account and FD accounts. Recently applied another new account also requested to go to the bank to verify my signature.

Same. I had a Campus account for 15 odds years, transited into one account but never took the card.
Sent me an email after 17 days of apply for the one card, saying they need 3 months pay slip plus HR letter.
Really bollocks, cant understand why can't they make things work using singpass data pull.

Does anyone know if using UOB one card for transport (mrt, buses) counts toward the UOB one saving account's bonus interest?

Update: I finally got my UOB One Credit card yesterday and activated already. My One account still pending for my address and signature verification over the counter. I have not found a time to do so.....

UOB service now sucks......
