Agreed! Same happened to me. I applied for their credit card, they lost my paper works but kept insisting that I never provided them with. And then the CS shouted at me over the phone when I queried their record.

Then I just made a complaint and called to cancel my application. After a week they sent me my credit card and congratulated me for the approval and gave me way too much credit like 8 times more than I ask for.

Shows you how incompetent they are as a bank. I cannot find another bank like them so far.

Oh no there is another bank, Maybank. They asked me to take a photo of my work place ID card to prove that I work my company. First time I have heard that. I said no, then they implied that in that case we cannot prove that you have a job and cancelled my application.

Their CSOs are probably the rudest among the local banks. And also the most incompetent (kept losing my documents and giving me conflicting information). I said goodbye to them a few years ago and I haven't looked back since. Good riddance.

Becareful when applying credit card. Make sure the person who handle your application and documents is a bank staff and not those out source type of 3rd party company.

Never apply via road show. You never know how they handle your information before reaching bank.

I will be cancelling all my services with them.
1) uob amex cannot giro, need 16 digit card number, in the system cannot enter 15 digit
2) go to tmwr app for cancellation, ask me to call their hotline
3) their hotline say will call me within 1-2 working days

Theses 3 banks can never be the best cos once you are unable to get your request acceded, it will automatically fall into your horrible category. Everyone has a story to tell. UOB has never been a problem to me. I'm left with 1 DBS card after waiver rejection. 0 zero OCBC card despite AA score of 2000 still got instant rejection.

UOB :D Let me tell my story again.... applied CC with them online. Few days later asked me to submit my latest 3 months salary slips. I told the CS, my monthly salary is credited into my UOB account for donkey years. Cancelled my application immediately.

This one is user issue, not the bank.

Curious, why user?
Back office need the paperwork to process your application. What you want them to do? Dig thru your account history to screenshot 3 months of rows where your salary is credited in? You obviously creating problem for them.

some banks can do that but some banks can't.

so if uob doesn't have the facility, then the "demand" by the user will be unreasonable because it is made known what's required.

No need to dig thru. Only in cavemen era, u will stupidly and slowly go thru the excel file, copy n paste to know about your customer. Since yrs ago, a click on the mouse, your profile will be out... This is called CX, customer 360 with AI and data analytics.

Another example of AI and analytics is CC fraud. U think the CS sits behind the computer and slowly go thru your spendings, transactions n call out a fraud when he sees it?

Unless u telling me UOB is lacking of investment in new tech?

I think u r still living in the generation of policemen wearing bemudas chasing around with baton..... there are ways of application.

1. Apply via manually fill in form.
2. Apply via bank details.
3. Apply via Myinfo

Think again, do I need to submit my income??? I rest my case with u and UOB. :D Both same same.

There is something called pulling out the right information and hiding the rest. In this case, using layman logic, pull SAL from account, if SAL is greater than $$$ then approve, else forward case to supervisor. This is also case of whether to approve your AF waive by bot.
