you think any tom or dick in the bank can see what's in your account?

think again....

There is something called pulling out the right information and hiding the rest. Different user has the access right to pull certain information.

Bank details...
ermmm if you understand association...

if they say there are 3 ways to apply,

manually fill in form is for the purpose of providing personal details.

myinfo is automatically retrieve personal details using singpass.

under these 2 scenarios, i am doubtful got any income details.

so the bank details = personal details already with the bank.

so what makes you think bank details = includes income???

Again, when u have an account with bank, they have 360 or 720 view of u. In pseudonymization, your phone, age, address, sex, sav, cur, fd or whatever they will know.. different user has the access to which info of yours. A salary indictor is there if there is a need to pull out the data.

Ok, I give up on this... yes, I need to submit my salary slips, it is my fault. :D Make myself live easier, I am using other banks CC.

you can assume whatever you want. but it doesn't make it true.

u wanting to use other banks cc to make your live easier is fine.

but it's different from assuming they will be able to do something they didn't say they can.

you can say their system is lousy that's fine. but to assume this is kinda unreasonable

Think again, do I need to submit my income??? I rest my case with u and UOB. :D Both same same.
which part says they can retrieve your income information from salary credit?
DBS can do it.

But it doesn't mean UOB can. There might be an internal firewall between their banking and card applications department.

Yes DBS can do it doesn’t mean others can.

ridiculous to assume others can, and when cannot be angry about it.

Case of talking sense to frog in the well.... U can never explain how the world is to a frogs in the well. Now is 20xx, tech has advances so fast that most tasks in a bank are auto using Bots. Time gone when filled form read by CS.... submitted salary slips read by CS. I rest my case on ignorance.

Guess UOB is still thriving in old days. End of my comment on tech.

Ok so you acknowledged that you were ignorant and you were wrong to assume, but you are just pissed that their tech is backwards, rather than they didn’t deliver what they promised.

They will have cpf and IRAS but not monthly salary.

but also depends on what’s being requested from my info.

All banks are f up one unless you have few hundred k or millions with them. To me, I already sick of all these nonsense.
(1) Just stick to 1 card to vomit less blood
(2) apply atas card
(3) connect via giro for payment
Moving forward, they don’t anyhow waive for Tom, dick and Harry and seriously I support that. If 10 banks attitude all screwed and give lousy service, r we going to use cash and throw all our credit cards away? Anytime they shove their tool inside our mouth. I have learnt how to suck it up over the years

I applied for UOB Amex before. Ask for lots of document and a lot of hassle. By then Amex already approved my account and I tell UOB to go fly kite. 😆

I guess all banks have their own internal problems and red tapes. I am trying to apply for HSBC Rev card. Tried applying online only to hit error message asking me to call them. Web-Chat with their agent, they asked me to fill in the "Contact Us" form for someone to call me. I did that and no one called me. Web-Chat again and they said that they will expedite to get someone to call me to assist with application. Till-date, no one called me too and I gave up already.. Haha...
