best combo is kaspersky and malwarebytes .. no issue for me on windows 10

My 'small taskbar buttons' was already unchecked.

Guess the only way to increase my taskbar icons size is to increase overall DPI scaling.

That's not my problem. At least MS managed to iron this out. Windows 7 was worse.

My problem is with screen estate. If I up a notch from 100% to 125%, suddenly the desktop icons become so gigantic that I feel like my 13.3-inch 1080p laptop screen suddenly reverted to 768p.

The 4790K can easily handle two anti-viruses with no performance hit so I do not feel the need to choose only one.

Actually, I'm not too worried about viruses as I have multiple backups. I also keep a third PC around, the sole purpose of which is to download stuff from unknown sources.

Have you tried a proper clean install of the windows 10 drivers with something like the display driver uninstaller from guru3d? I had random fps drops after upgrade and that fixed it for me at least

Sensible browsing practices and Windows Defender/MS Security Essentials will suffice for most users.

If I upgrade to Win 10 and wish to return to Win 7 months later.
Will the license key still work for a FRESH INSTALLATION of Win 7 ?

I thought the licence key given for Windows 10 is different from the one you have for Windows 7/8.

So the old one will be invalid ah ?
