Usually first thing is google 'Viewqwest down?', then go to that downdetector page and click click. There the update even faster than HWZ.

VQ Outage @16 Feb 2021

Not that ViewQwest offers any SLA credits but for general public information purposes, the connectivity was recorded down for about 25 mins (for at least 3 exchanges spaning acrossing Sengkang, Houggang and Pasir Ris) from 1709h to 1734h. This is +/- up to 2 mins as the monitor only checks once every 60 seconds or so.

The outage was not DNS-related.

so have they replied you? I just raised a ticket to ask the same question.

Their level 1 is terrible. Only able to take down info to raise the ticket.

They've replied on the blocked ports, saying it's a "template policy" thing which was automatically applied during the Fiberhome portover. He further states that once manually opened, the settings will survive future upgrades. Btw, the blocked ports are 21, 22, 80, and 443, not only the latter two.

No reply on the extra latency (from 2ms to 4ms) after the portover. Think they'll continue to act blur on that one.

i was down nearly 48hours. they only offer me 1 day waiver.
then now keep outrage.

Down for less than half hour. Kinda impressed. Even if switching to different telco also will experience downtime one la. Glad it’s not a long time for my area. Previously using sh when it’s down it’s down for hours.
