I think you mean no there isn't pay-per-use data roaming. ;)

The link you gave has this explicit statement: "VIVIFI offers data roaming packs, instead of pay-per-use."
most mvno dont have pay as you roam only MNO :) *Edited

Yep, but your reply "yes there is in the FAQ" implies they have pay as you roam services. You could have stated this upfront earlier.

The ambiguity in context led to confusion. Was clarifying for the benefit of the other user who asked.

Eh I also! But for my case even though it shows failed. It’s still successful ler. I woke up at 6am. It shows failed. Changed SIM card got service but cannot use (only can receive incoming SMS). filed a support ticket at 6.30am. Then waited until 10am then vivifi service is up and got sms say port over successful but their portal still say fails 😅😅 not sure if the port over got downtime or is it they act on my ticket. 🤣

your vivifi SIM card got service?

my vivifi sim got service with the temp number. but telco both sides cannot find anything wrong at their end and suggested me try port in again tonight. nightmare siaaa...wth...

This is why I never like to put in the card until porting is completed. I insert the card the morning after when (hopefully) the number has been ported. iMessage can get silly about it. And if users blindly accept the "A new number has been detected" message, then it gets stuck on that temp number.

Turn off iMessage and Facetime.
Reboot.
Wait a while. Could be an hour or more too if you are worried. I usually wait about 15 mins, but have ever taken hours before.
Turn on iMessage and register the "old" number back. You will incur cost for another set of international SMSes.
Don't forget to turn on iCloud for iMessage and Facetime after re-adding back the "old" number.

I get that Apple tries to be helpful when it detects a new number change with a new SIM card - since this is expected behaviour in other countries. But to be fair, it cannot detect a number change when the SIM card isn't changed. That's where the problem is - no phone can (nor should) keep polling to check what the current number is.

PS: Happens also with Google Messages. And even WhatsApp when it detects a new number.

I have switched to vivifi and just activated my sim card awhile ago. Ported in my number from M1. Any idea if the porting will be done before tomorrow morning or will it likely to be successful only from Monday onwards?

You will get sms for porting over successfully usually in 1-2 business day not including weekends

I was not charged for the international sms when I activated iMessage and FaceTime while I was on vivifi previously.
