My sister had a successful porting done on Monday. Single porting attempt unlike mine which i had to do twice for some reason.

I’m porting in a MR line for my mum & a SingTel line for myself. For my SingTel line, I’m on SIM Only plan & don’t need that much of data. I’ve made a request to SingTel to terminate my contract & surprisingly they agreed to do so without the need to pay for remaining months’ subscription.

Hi, saw that 1 of the post mention that VIVIFI supports call forwarding. But when I double check w the support, the reply mention not supported. I'm currently under giga and it doesn't allow call forwarding, so need to port to 1 telco that does. Appreciate if anyone who has successfully tried doing call forwarding recently?

Terminate then port out? No penalty? Amazing

Ahh, there is some misreading here. Likely it's the way I had phrase the sentence.

1. I have made a request to SingTel for early contract termination (end date 1 Sept 2021).
2. SingTel agreed that I can terminate without paying any fees - CSO sent an email to confirm our agreement.
3. Register a line with Vivifi with port in request (3 Mar collecting SIM card).
4. Assuming everything smooth -- wait for SingTel final bill (with early termination fee as it will be auto generated by system).
5. Reply email to SingTel CSO (received from #2) to omit the early termination fee & pay the balance, if any.

Still amazing. Not the usual. Hope you did not misunderstand them.

Terminate contract or terminate line with contract?

Hopefully it works. Had similar experience when moving from Singtel prepaid to gomo. Cso and Singtel shop both say no charges and free 1 month but end up needing to pay early termination charge as the free 1 month is compulsory (apparently cannot port out earlier than 1 month)

Wow! Are you able to share how you managed to do this with singtel?

Just sharing my experience porting over from M1.

I applied for a VIVIFI line last week and submitted my porting request at the same time. I collected my SIM card on Wed around 6pm and VIVIFI sent an SMS on Thursday saying the porting request will be processed soon.

Porting was done on Thursday night and calls/OTPs worked fine on Friday morning, except OCBC OTP. Just tried again today (saturday) and managed to receive the OCBC OTP, so everything is working fine now. The overall porting process was very smooth.

How is this compared to redone? The pricing seems quite similar. What about reliability etc?

Well depends on what u are comparing cos in terms of coverage, vivifi will be better since it's riding on Singtel network. Next redone allows you to use Malaysia network with ease(but ain't sure how the roaming applies?).

Redone using Starhub network. It's good!

For roaming, you simply just turn on your data roaming on your phone. The phone will auto connect to digi network in malaysia. FOC roaming in malaysia.

Remember to turn off data roaming in your phone setting when u travel overseas. Roaming charges apply other than malaysia.

Decided to collect SIM card on Friday 26 Feb instead & porting was successful, but took longer than previously porting from M1 to SingTel. No problem receiving OTP from OCBC, Maybank & DBS.

So now left with partial #4 (final bill from SingTel) & #5.

I would say otherwise that i have problems with redone and last time starhub network.

Using starhub i have some missed call which my phone did not ring, i did not know until one of the other caller said i did not pickup call. I thought my phone was not working well.

After many years i thought starhub network has improved, so i signup for redone, same problem that my newer phone also did not ring or register a missed call when some ppl called me.

At checkout for 6gb plus plan say $12.98 even after entering promo code. Is it normal?
