Water Heater with jet pump

any forumers tried beforE? any issue with SIN ELCB?

My Bennington instant water heater has a tube outlet connected to a heating element being loosened and spraying water whenever there is a flow of water. For safety reasons, my family decided to change the unit as it is already 8 years old.

Went to a few places to check out water heaters and collected several name-cards of plumbers/electricians that can do an installation. Ended up buying Ariston Aures Comfort SM33 from Hoe Kee as there was a discount deal for that model. Hoe Kee gave me the number of their plumber for the installation. Since I have already collected a few name-cards of plumbers/electricians during my product surveying, I called up each of them and asked for a quote.

Arranged with the plumber/electrician with one of the more reasonably quoted installation prices. Just had the installation this morning, 8th November 2018. According to him, 707 and Champs are good brands for the water heater. Also, he said the safest way to connect instant water heater is to pull wire straight from the switchboard, instead of plugging to an electric outlet. Not sure how accurate is his claims. Overall is okay with the installation.

Because JB seller told me the one with jet pump may not be suitable for HDB MCB..

Normally the is a ELCB or RCB per house, and number of CBs. So you need to make sure ** (usually 20A for heater) is correct type for heater.

Anyone know about heat pump? Can help a noob out?

The tank must be placed in the room you want to cool and cannot hide it in a cupboard?

It will cool the room all day? Or only when it needs to heat the water?


Can the electricity savings really recoup the higher initial cost?

Is it worth it to get it for cooling a room?

Hi all, need some experts advise on storage heater. Looking @ Ariston or Atantic 30L. I know Ariston is good but the distributor for Atlantic says their storage heater are supplied to the SG Navy and are the top brand in France. But i cant seem to find more info on it. Any1 using Atlantic can advise me? Also between tis 2 brands which other brand is gd? Thanks in advance.

Panasonic jet pump heater

Hello all sexperts.

I have been suffering from low water pressure for a long long time. I have been reading the threads, and seems like it is possible to get the panasonic jet pump heaters from JB.

I stay in a HDB flat, currently using an Alpha Smart 18 heater. Will there be any issues with changing to a panasonic jet pump heater? i read some replies saying that need to make sure the circuit breaker is compatible. How to check this?

A qualified electrician can settle everything? Any one can advise?

Heat pump works just like air conditioner, but instead of cooling, it uses the waste heat to heat up a medium, either inside room or a water storage.

So far, in Singapore, there are 2 products that I know of uses this technology, AO Smith micro heat pump water storage heater and Daikin super multi hot water multi-split (up to 3 only) air conditioner.

For new home owners, I would suggest buying Daikin super multi hot water. Energy efficient (uses about 500 watts more than 5 star air conditioner, treat it as using water heater) and should save you money by buying this instead of 2 separate product.

AO Smith micro heat pump is expensive but is very energy efficient from normal electrical or gas water heater. You have to think long term saving to recoup from buying this

Cheesepies. My Ariston buy for 1.5 yrs got tank leak. Called them and they said need $60 to send tech down even though I provided pictures.

I think I'm going to change manufacturer. Any reliable brands? Money no object.
