The price is pretty standard and controlled. Maybe you save some dollars here or there. For me is direct to AOS to save hassle of installing companies, etc ..
You go to AOS direct still can see some pasar malam wc, basins, rain shower heads, mixers, etc ... *regret i bought all those things too early) Those are quality projects and brands

Nice sales people there as well ...

There is of course those retail shops which i dunno whom they use to install ...

not for AOS but all heaters, install improper get explosion ... due to pressure or electricity.

For longer digital cable i think u need to add money on top ... I cant recall but pls call to check it out. facebook everything there already...
Question: does the installer from AOS provide installation of mixer and water heater piping in addition to the heater itself, including the pipes to and from the mixer and the heater ? I am looking for such arrangement of installation, no need to look for other small-time installers who charge by the centimetre.

I recently installed the heat pump heater from AOS. I believed they only help u install the heater to the water source and also to the existing pipe(out from the heater). They do not help u install the mixer from my understanding. If you dont have any existing pipe to the mixer, you can check with them ( but there may be additional cost depending on the extra length needed( default is 3m) . Or you can just get a plumber or contractor to do the job for u.

All the time your electricitt bill gg sia.

Not so if heat pump is used 200W vs 3kw. 38-40 degrees is comfortable temp. A 10C delta over ambient is not very expensive to maintain.

Heat pump heaters are a bit expensive tho.

Yes, upfront cost is high but big saving in electrical bill in long run. The heat pump is constant 50 degree for me on demand since the heater is always on.(efficiency mode)

Think it is 3.2KW for heat pump. 200W is use to maintain the required temperture only (heat pump mode).

210W is for the heat pump efficiency mode(takes 2-3hrs to heat up the water to the required 50 Degree which is why the heat pump is on 24/7 and there is constant hot water when u need it. -unless u are going holiday u will switch the heater off). However the heat pump model can also act like a normal storage heater where it use electricity (3KW)to heat up to the required temp. This usually happen when there is a large demand for hot water(sudden increase in ppl using hot water).
In gist, the heat pump under normal usage only use 210w (when it is heating, until the req temp is reached it will go into energy saving mode).
When there is a demand for hot water(due to some reason), it can act like a normal storage heater where u can heat up water fast but it will use 3KW for that.

Hey bro

Thanks for sharing
Always wanted to visit Hoe kee now will think again!
Btw my joven still serve me well for 6 years plus.

But instant Hester in another room has failed me last year
My Joven storage tank failed even after changing the heating element 6 months ago from Joven. Had to bathe in cold water for the past 2 days. So i went to Hoe Kee and paid for a Ariston 'Made in Italy' model. Asked what is the installation charges and $150 was quoted. When the installer came and drilled new holes in the walls to install the new water heater, he tell me wire too short. Need extra $30 to install. I am livid, hate being held ransom buy such antics as $150 is quoted and agreed upon and now there is this hidden cost of $30. The installer said can join the wire but he is not sure will overheat or not. That sounds like a warning to me. In the end had to pay the extra $30. So please avoid Hoe Kee at all cost.

Would anyone use a AO Smith 40L tank for a 2 room BTO, staying alone? Or is it better off just getting a better electric water heater?
