Hi,
I have never tailored shirt before. Intend to do one soon for an important briefing i have to conduct. My requirements is that I dun wanthe plain design. Maybe some intricate designs on the cloth or a bit flowery (not too loud though). Something like ted baker cloth designs.
Any tailors to recommend? Whats the price range? tanks a million in advance.
Alternatively, it would be great if someone can recommend a shop with the widest range of cloth design.
I also interested in making a blazer. slim fit. tapered down at waist level.Any recommendations on a shop. im hoping to do one slim cut with vertical lines down
Only complain (weirdly from my mum...) is that why my shirts are tapered at the back like ladies? whahaha
U know like those ladies' blouse where it is tapered at the back then can see 2 lines at the back. Ya, like that.
Really???darts are not confined to ladie's shirts... my shirt from Joe's also has that too...
i also got an OTR shirt from kenneth cole with darts too
Alright man, shall post moi hoots for cny tmr once i go collect from amy tomorrow.

And they are call "darts". Ok, something new learnt today.![]()
Coz suay suay a few days ago when my mum was washing my shirt, she was grumbling why i bought a shirt with those taperings. Say very "gu niang"...
Then ytd night i brought home 2 new pcs with that too!
haha...
such shirts last time have liao... just that less common i guess... some of those "ahbeng" shops at queensway like benhur last time have already
just that business wear seldom have...
anyway no worries la... now what era liao... age of the metrosexuals... men also got more feminine side already... think of eyebrow trimming, men facials, men spa, skinny jeans etc
Pls bear with the poor resolution as the pics are taken with hp only. The colors in the pics seem a little bit more pale than the real thing.
As promised:

If there is anything I want to be fussy, it will be the buttons. No offence, they do look abit cheap.
I think I will be wearing that red & white strips one with a pair of raw jeans on cny. After cny will bring both pcs back to ask them do a better buttons on them.
i agree that its abit pale.
The shirts not bad leh.. The red one shld look good with a dark blue jeans
But the color seems like quite Standard design ba..
HL building = hong leong building?
if yes, think i know which one u talking about... is it the one at the basement?
nv been inside the tailor before but used to go to the cafeteria there... noticed that they occupy a few shop spaces.
12k+ for a suit![]()
quality fabrics do have their price... cashmere is not cheap either
actually i think angmohs in general tend to appreciate fine fabric more than asians
singaporeans also tend to neglect their suits, whereas angmoh tend to be more particular on a quality suit.
how u know so much abt them?
thats why...the red and white one is not very common ba... *note its red base with white stripes and not the other way around
thats why...
This fabric quite rare I think.
I tried Personality, Men Traditional and Tessutti. They said no even without thinking twice.
Amy at Dreamland. She thinks for a while, then went ard her store to grab a few matching ones.
This is what I call service.
Those whom visited Dreamland before will understand what I mean.
Anyway, in case there are any female readers in this thread.
Amy does some tailoring for ladies as well. Not sure if tailoring or alterations. Coz I seen some ladies coming in to try out blouses at Dreamland too.
