Not really as I am using such computer everyday for quite long time. No overkill for sure. My friend com is even high end and with liquid cooling system.

I am mainly online streaming and gaming when I am in sg. Speed test done by my wife look good and the ping is quite low:

Video streaming at least a mid end laptop or else the colour is not so detailed and not so sharp. Sound also not so good. Of course it is personal preference. I am saying best to have. Not must have.

There are alot of factors involved , larger companies like ST and SH usually have better server partners overseas .Consumer habits(torrent /heavy downloaders usually found in MR and VQ) and their traffic shaping policies might play a part too . P2P speed is not indicated too.

Just ignore Singapore speeds cause its mostly pointless to surf in singapore.

Henry Ng went hiding after asking him to take a speedtest in Leaseweb DC in USA. Challenged me to take a test on VQ and ST and he dare not take the test on his all mighty Singtel Fiber.

All he post speedtest result which in favour of ST and ask him to do real world test, he claimed he is not in SG.

Cheapest one in this flyer is good enough, do buy extended warranty if you want 3 yrs.

M1 is also good as I have mentioned earlier. For major isp the con is they do internet traffic management for p2p connection. Less freedom to download. They restrict downloading from some sites. Video Streaming is good and surfing is good too. It is not right to say they are slow. If slow why so many corporate users?

Either you are stupid or retard, you ask me for the test on vq and st to show you and i did and i posted the results....now asking you to test and show me and you bring out all non relevant links. I am not saying vq is very good...all i am asking you to download the test file in Leaseweb.

I am in Bangkok. Your test result only proof that ST has internet traffic management for p2p and restrict download to such sites. It does not meant it is slow. If it is slow every overseas sites you visit will be slow.

Why Singtel traffic management on http download on Leaseweb server? It is not even p2p to start off with.
