Why no more point block hdb?

but the lifts damn old... both break down recently.. then knn i stay top floor.. hahahaha FML

if they revert back to the old days models, i think typical 5A-room BTO probably cost almost $1m to build

Not really about space as point blocks can go up to 25-30 floors while most hdb flats at 16-18 floors.

My bto common corridor w 2 units per row facing each other, a neighbour put a tall plant at the end n block most of the sun.

Looks damn dark even w a 24x7 light on.

Too expensive to build. Every floor only serve 4 residents, 2 lifts. 25 storeys have 100 residents only.

Insert few more piles then u every floor can serve 10 residents. Higher density design is in HDB's blood. If 25 storeys have 250 residents. Still 2 lifts.

Newer design serve min 8 units per floor

No more point block, for the same space now can build double the apartments means more profits
