and about how high they go.. i dont think the type of blocks (point or not) determines how high the block can go.

You just need to look carefully at the estate plans when buying… there are still “point” blocks in new btos… just that they don’t stand out by itself like the past. It’s a similar layout, 4 units each floor share 1 lift…For example blk 34 bedok, the old school HDB folks did a great job, like what happened.
I seen my friends BTOs in Tampine, the long corridor and metal grilles looks damn depression, this is just a personal opinion it kind of reminds me of DB, eerie vibes
