Hi there,

Thanks for the info! But actually now Robinsons' is charging UKP214 for Churchill, so I would also have to pay GST + admin charges if I bought it now right? Robinsons also uses DHL?

So for Churchill did you downsize, do you think you have room for downsizing? I'm afraid if I don't downsize by 0.5 it will be too wide on the side, but I'm also worried that if I downsize, it'll be too tight lengthwise or at the heel.

Better not to downside if you are unsure. Even if its big, you can wear thicker socks or use tongue or heel pads to help it. But if its too small then your fit will suffer.

You can also try to email Loake your feet measurements and seek their advice.

Thanks bro...
Depends on how is your method of stripping.. My previous method is using the back of a knife wrapped with cotton cloth... It's quite harmful to the leather...

Now I wash them with leather soap to take away the first layer followed by 2-3 layers of stripping with cotton ball..importantly is to take away the glossy area to ensure the dye can "eat" into that area

Good job, @alvinquah.

The 2nd pic shows the extent of the effort and the level of risk you took.
Good learning experience, and i must say very well executed.

Wow!! Now I'm inspired to re-dye my shoes too... How long did it take you to remove the color?

thanks bro...

having done stripping before to my old boot , i kinda know what to expect for stripping... as long as you treat them to generous amount of saphir renovator after dyeing they are happy cause the leather is very "thirsty" after stripping.... :s13:
