For me i will still prefer shoes that use leather for its lining n outer.. its comfy n does not stink..esp when i wear my shoes the whole day..

And don't forget to use shoe trees too! Wooden ones made of cedar can help with odour and moisture build up

Can anyone recommend an excellent cobbler who can do complex resoling for Goodyear welted or Blake stitched shoes? I will provide the soles...which will be either Dainite, Ridgeway or Vibram Commando. Not interested in the chain stores that operate in malls. Heard there are some good cobblers around raffles place but no idea where.

Check out "wingseed" at West coast plaza. They did a pretty solid job with my redwings. after changing my original iron ranger sole to vibram commando soles with them, I trashed (ankle deep in mud, waterfalls, hiking through mountainous terrain) the boots on an offroad motorbike trip through Vietnam and the soles survived

They just cut and glue, or they resole?

While we are at this festive shopping mood, I will like to pen down some of my observations in my shoe journey which took a massive turn the last few weeks/month(meaning I bought a few more than I should). Not going to go into the heavy plumping stuff but my usage of the shoes I have, familiar and accessible from SG. Hopefully this will help you to get just one more pair :)

Left is Corno Blu
Middle Antonio Meccariello
Right, Enzo Bonafé

The EB, I had them for 1 year and wearing them twice a week. Impressed by the build quality, they still look great don’t they? These oxfords gave me a power uplift when I wear them, confident, ready to go into the broad room to win an arguement. Stiffer than the rest and after getting this, not turning back to the cemmented stuff I used to wear.

The **, oh I love this pair. The last are super comfortable and the most comfortable pair of leather shoes I had and requires zero break in. The leather are on the softer side, if comfortable is high on your priority you need to check this out. ** do not have lasted trees so you need to get your own generic trees.

Finally the AM, the build, color and fit are tops and they are at the top of the price bracket. Everything about AM is fantastic, the only ‘issue’ I had they are hard to slip on! Once in, everything else feels and looks premium.

Size for Antonio Meccariello

No they do not, if you have questions I can try to help answer and the more accomplished bros here can help too.

Hi! Can I know what size should I get for my Antonio Meccariello, if I wear UK 7.5 for my Carmina? Many thanks.

Rain last?

AM you will likely need to upsize half. So UK8, do note AM soft square are slightly narrower in the toe box.

I think your size is common and quite sure there are other Bros here have the same size

Hi all, I wear a UK6 for my yanko suede loafers and a UK7 for my carmina. What would be a safe bet for my AM sizing?
Thank you!
