Thanks it works. Btw which htpc would recommend just for Xbmc use?

You may want to wait for the new launch around October for Minix Neo Z64 it has Dual Boot in andriod or windows can be install. This will be better option as well like mini htpc with intel build graphic card.Have to wait for the launch & review:s12:

Why don't you simply install xbmc in your PC or notebook? I had installed xbmc in my android phone, in my raspberry pi, in odroid-u3, in my windows 7 desk top, in my windows 8 note book. And all share common play list.

Ok great just monitor your streaming with the original Arm xbmc version.By disable the hardware decoding codec it will tend to have slow motion/choppy video playback at time. The latest kodi xbmc 14 should have resolved it as they now compatible with the S802 chipset.

Most of the quadcore android box are able to do 1080p using software decoding.

There is a built-it tool in XBMC for us to check the performance of video. Just need to press "o" on the keyboard when video is playing. 4 lines of parameters will be shown at realtime. By looking at FPS and no of dropped frame can tell whether the CPU is fast enough to do the job.

True it can play 1080p by software decoding but i doubt there are still some quadcore andriod box still not able to play high bitrate 1080p files once enable decoding. All depend on the kernel build by developer.

Yup.. Gotten your pm.. Thanks..

I'm new to this XBMC stuff.. Can I ask how to I back up my add-ons?

Let says when I need to install a newer version of XBMC..

XBMC stores user's addons and customization in this directory:

Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc/userdata/

If you backup this directory, you need not reinstall any addons or customise XBMC after reinstallation.

You can get back all customization and addons even after factory reset, by copying the backup to the right directory

userdata folder - Kodi

hi just got the mibox 3 jb edition. Was thinking of installing xmbc 13.2, then saw there is kodi 14.0. Is this the new version of the xmbc? Which is recommended? Thanks!

Understand that installing xmbc needs to de-activate the video hardware acceleration. Does Kodi require the same setting too?

Yes kodi xbmc is a new version but still under beta stage & can be installed. The current stable version is 13.2 which all bugs had been fixed. You can disable hardware acceleration & test it,regardless 13.2 or kodi 14 helix no issues. And monitor your video streaming:s12:
