Ha ha, what are you going to put in there? Your box is for streaming or playing movie? 8GB should be enough but mine is 16GB.

Dear guys .. I brought a Xiaomi TV Box 3 , Chinese Version .

OS Version 1373 ..

I am totally lost because the box cannot watch TV or do browsing ..

Yo i need some help of what I can do ..

For example if i don't modify , how can i load APP to the box .

If I modify it , whats are the step ..

Can someone please advise. I have the toggle app, but whenever I open it, it prompt me to update and install, but I am still unable to use, and it kept asking me to update and install. Please help

The irritating thing about Toggle on MiBox is that once they update (and they have been updating very frequently recently) the software, the old version cannot play anymore.
The version is now 3.0.6; you have to search for the latest version of apk on the web (if you do not have playstore installed) and do the update.

It requires you to install the 1mobile app 1st, then when inside, search for toggle, uninstall yr old version and then install the ver 3.0.6 from them. But in about maybe 10 days you have to search again when again toggle updates!!

is it still the right way now? I am on the quad core box that is jailbroken.

I gave up after trying on 2 separate occasions.
Looking back I dun really miss NOT having the Google support considering Shafa apps market has most of what I using now.

It is of poor quality. It got lines when connected using provided HDMI cable, so used mine and quality is back to normal.

Hi,
There are plenty of guides in internet so I won't explain it in details.
Basically you use .apk files you store in a USB pendrive and then after you plug it in the box you install them, the xiaomi box allows such install from USB. There's first a so-called pojie (jailbreak) package to install then ShaFa market.
Seriously, all resources are in internet, just need to follow the step-by-step guides.

Gosh! how did this happen? there's nothing 100% automatic, you might have accepted it when it proposed you.

Be careful not to upgrade your firmware once everything has been installed/configured!

Their HDMI cable looks OK to me,
but what I faced was that my old TV's HDMI port was somehow a bit rusty (Singapore's weather altered the contacts layer) and then using an electrical contact cleaner (spray) with some rubbing it all became OK (no more lines and interferences on the screen).
