IPhone 4 and mi4i all set as airplane mode not connected WiFi.

Before I left all full battery. One week later

Iphone 90%
Mi4i 18%.


Don't know power all use to where.

You buy phone to be on airplane mode for 1 week ...

Smartphone can use a day then charge ok le .......

Airplane mode doesn't means that the phone totally stopped running. There are many things that are still running behind it. And mi4i is a 2015 device with some energy hungry hardware running it, so you shouldn't compare it with iphone 4 which is a 2010 device. 2ndly, both are 2 different os serving few different needs. Want to compare, then compare it with fellow android devices. Don't compare apple with orange. I suggest you to throw ur mi4i into the bin since its so lousy to you.

Yes agree with you that mi4i battery is horrible. My redmi note 4g has better battery performance and performance (smooth ui , games and surfing net)

Heng this is a cheap phone. But this device really spoil my impression on xm.

Although redmi note has a bigger battery and slower cpu but mi4i auto drain power is really bad. Even when I don't used the phone a lot it drop batt so fast then need at least two changing a day. Not sure is Sd615 really draw a lot power and the powerful sunlight LCD. But I still can't understand why battery drops a lot when I didn't use the phone.

True the iOS handle task a lot better then android. Plus this mi4i is build with the cheapest thing so performance Cui is expected. You not the only saying Cui. A lot of my friend who upgrade from redmi and redmi note was disappointed with the overall performance.

Anyway can't have a product that please everyone. $200 plus phone just buy and forget.

I think if anyone plans to upgrade from redmi and redmi note to this device should sit and wait for next device. The only thing wow me is the powerful hungry LCD screen. As for cpu speed it didn't wow me a lot.

Lol 2010 phone performance better then 2015 phone in battery.

Anyway I hoot this phone to play play. I think is worth only as a 'higher end' spare phone. I didn't use this phone much as it a spare phone for play play. The front camera issue since day one not resolve kept getting pixels noise images.


Play COC awhile it got so hot. So far haven't auto power off yet.

Surf on chrome was a little slagging.

all those battery and overheating issues are not in MIUI 6.5.5.0 which I am using.
Battery can last one full day with moderate towards intensive use.

Maybe can go service centre to install this version?

Even my friend zte blade s6 last longer then my mi4i.

Good for u to consider look like fake iPhone 6. Can consider apex

Android phones when u set to flight mode, the location (GPS) is not switched off, dunno why, you have to really switch GPS off, if you also want that to be off...

Tbh, I've never experienced any battery issues since I got this phone.

The real problem is people expect a midrange phone to be performing like a flagship and rant about the most trivial of matters just to justify their mere $279 like its the end of the world.

Been using the 32GB version for past 3 days. As its the weekend, usage is lighter with the usual browser and messaging and mostly on standby. Battery was full on Saturday morning. Today (Sunday 5.15pm), it still has about 85%. As the phone is still new,i will of course continue to monitor the phone. As of now i certainly have no complaints. The over heating issue i personally have no adverse observations (i had the M9 and Moto G 2013 and now using G4) and M9 heat is more pronounced for sure). Yes, Also remember in Singapore we have Lemon law. By all means use that if product is not anywhere near specification or bugs cannot be fix over period of time.
