wanna ask if the owners know if this is dual standby for 4g 3g? means if first sime i put 4g, second sim i still can put 3g?

last time when they launch in India, many complaints saying that 2nd sim is not 3G (should be global rom cos launch in India ma), speculating that only the chinese rom will make it 3G standby

dunno about now.. but chinese rom is always 2nd sim 3G standby. I am using by default 2nd Sim LTE, and putting my 1st Sim on standby...

there are download links available online for MIUI8 chinese rom here. I feel Chinese Rom more refined as has always been on Chinese Rom.

just as I was waiting to submit this post, I searched and seems like they suspended MIUI8 for MI 5.

Dunno what is the problem, I am using it fine.

edit: it is stated due to some network issues, but should not affect you if you upgrade from MIUI 7, which is what i did. You can read more here.

yes...global rom. from 7.5.2.0 global stable to 8.0.2.0 global stable now.
but im now regretting the update as the phone is now having network stability issue and keeps dropping network and cycling around between 3g , lte and 4g

ok...phone network has stabilized at 4G now.
i think the cycling of the network bands was deliberate by the phone to collect network info. after a while, the phone will stabilize at the best network which is 4g

Updated to miui 8 this morning. Now my gallery app cannot open.

Just received an update today. How come so different the number? is it because I flash developer version?

When I try to get to recovery mode, it shows a connect cable to phone logo. But it doesn't get to the actual recovery mode.

Did I missed a step? How can I get to the recovery mode screen to do the actual flash?
