Tbh, I don't play games. I have a dedicated console for that.
But everyday tasks, the mm2 is significantly slower.
So even before mm1 starts throttling, if it ever does, it is already faster than mm2 which probably feels like choking all the time.
Yeah that's probably the case.
Mi Max 1 got 2 BIG Cores - The Cortex A72 in the 16/32G version and 4 BIG Cores in the 64/128G version paired with 4 SMALL Cores - The Cortex A53.
Mi Max 2 on the other hand is just 8 SMALL Cores. The performance difference is HUGE although the newer chip has the advantage of lower power consumption and newer architecture.
