Just got my mi5 last saturday. Good small phone. Batt last very long.

But then i realize eventhough it is using good camera sensor but the software cant make it

Searching for ideal phone continue !

Good camera sensor
820 or 625 snapdragon
Not qhd display
Preferably >3000 ma
Value for money

Bad in low light situation. Noise everywhere

My old LG G3 which is using inferior sensor compare to mi5 can do better in low light situation

I think the only brand with good camera software are only as follow (in order)

1. Samsung, LG and google pixel
2. Sony

Too bad,
samsung, google pixel are overprice
LG is using QHD screen since G3 which is battery drainer

I am using Z5 now (non premium) and it is using snapdragon 810 (famous of generating heat) and I think Z3 is same

but Z3 is using inferior camera sensor compare to Z5

lasting battery can be achieved with non standard ROM which need bootloader to be unlocked

unfortunately unlocking bootloader will wipe TA partition which causing Sony stock camera app not working as supposed to be, but there is already workaround for this

but you are right so far Z5 is the only "acceptable" option that I choose because with custom ROM I can get 5-6 hours SOT

and maybe LG G5 which from what I read can get 4-5 hours SOT but battery is removeable and most of G5 was sold with extra battery kit

actually mi5s is the "perfect" phone if they can improve their camera app. Mi5S is using camera sensor same as google pixel but for some unknown idiot reason they remove image stabilization which was implemented in Mi5

no, z3 is using SD801 and many users praised for its good battery. I managed to clock 8mins every %. 12hrs SOT. all the Z3 series are using the same processor. anyway that's Sony last products to have the best battery.

xiaomi managed to cramp such a big battery into a frame at 7.5mm , consider slim right? which other phone manufacturers managed to do like this?

oh ya you are right.. only Z3+ is using 810 (called Z4 in some other countries)

I dont consider Z3 because it will be generation if not older compare to my G3, I want to upgrade

yeah, I love Xiaomi, slim, screen is also good, value for money ! but too bad almost no xiaomi with good camera app (not sure about mi mix and mi6 though)

G3 is just like 6 months older than Z3, not the other way round.
any phone uses SD810 is a flop, due to the generating heat the chip produces.

seriously if want to get a phone with good quality camera, that would be an iPhone 7. but one of that can buy 5 or even 6 sets of Max!

My mi max has wifi disconnection problem often despite being on updated firmware. Camera was advertised as 16mb but quality is bad, esp lighting wise.

currently a student so...should i buy back my previous phone model which is samsung note 4? loved the phone but it has charging port problem which is common.. any recommendations for wifi fix?

Yah, the cam on the first gen max is crappy under low lighting environment. But the Wi-Fi is ok. Did you try the 2.4ghz channel?

what router are you using? mine asus rt-ac88 have intermittent wifi drop issues for mi max but no problem with my old xiaomi note 1 rooted with stallion os.
asus router have a lot of problems even after updating to the latest.

Mine mi max connect to wifi 5ghz the speed test max hit only 70mbps. Anyone got this problem. My other mi max can hit 250mbps.
