Skip the latest version of china dev rom, it got vibration bug where vibration is set to max and no way to reduce it.

Not sure this question has been answered. Just got a set of mi note for my mother. However, Even I set the font size to the largest, the font size is still pathetically small. When type message I can hardly see clearly and how to expect old people to read it comfortably.

Any way to solve the problem ? I tried to install some apk but it enlarge the system font but when come to other application, it over do it till outside the screen.

It's a feature called focus peaking. The red will highlight the focus for you, meaning to say the more red on an object mean more focus the camera on that object. This is useful in manual mode which often found only in DSLR

Oooh.. so this is focus peaking! Read about it somewhere in this thread, but I've not seen it in action before. Thanks for clarifying!

i am not looking to uninstall the Mi Store
as i have read that it will result in a boot loop
when the phone does an update subsequently

this is my first time playing with a XiaoMi handset
and i just want to disable it/set it to non-default
but it looks like i am unable to do so

I really hate where the buttons r located, easily trigger turn off, turn on when holding phone with left hand.

Agreed. Power button I find will be pressed easily when I put phone in bag... And worst is pressing power button for long period will reboot phone by default.

You can try at xiaomi service centre at Clarke quay central. Bring a micro usb thumbdrive, then can play your own mp3 files. Remember to turn on the hifi setting and use the xiaomi music app

Agreed. Power button I find will be pressed easily when I put phone in bag... And worst is pressing power button for long period will reboot phone by default.

And pls be careful, you might even set it some sort of reset as my data was recently cleared when it reboots. One of the worst designed phone ever.

雙網通 supports only China Mobile and China Unicom networks
