I'm also planning to get one 55" one. Was looking ard to see if we can jailbreak n install apps ourselves. So far qoo10 for 55" range from 1.5 to 1.8k depending on seller and "package"

I have an existing VESA wall mount. Don't know if can fit the xiaomi tv.

Hi Bros,

I would like to check with you guys (those who have the XM TV2) - how's the internal speakers of the Xiaomi TV2? Is it good? Do we need to "on" external speakers such as a sound bar? Cos' usually when I watch TV, I just rely on the TV's internal speakers (lazy to on sound bar). Thanks.

P.S. I just came back from GZ yesterday. Cannot find any XM TV2 available or on display in the major departmental stores (inclu. Suning/ Guomei). Also, I secretly wish Xiaomi can come up with 65" TV. Haha! :)

Every internal speakers are pathetic. I doubt it matters whether the internal is gd or bad one.

took the plunge and ordered a 55" with soundbar from time sale.
SMS the guy and was told shipment on the way. Will take ard a week or so.

Time to retire my Philips which has been constantly rebooting every now and then.
Very fustrating...

I suppose you are aware that $998/$999 is for the Mi TV 2 49" right?

yes i know. add 55" and sound bar and what not... i paid about 1.5K
which is still cheap for a 55" 4K tv with a simple sound system.

if u compare specs to specs of 55" and 48"
its identical. probably on the panel is different.
55" is 瑞仪 底侧入式 LED while 48" is 小米自主研发 瑞轩代工 底侧入式LED
Both are Edge lit if i read correct. anyway here is the comparison link

Yah. For that price .... very value for $$ if it last at least 3yrs.

not yet. scheduled for delivery. but have not received any calls from seller.
definitely not ready stock. but i have to say seller is v responsive to sms queries.

i just hope my existing wall mount works and need not purchase an extra new one

If you need wall mount, think better to get from them. Did you get the sound bar & sub woofer?

yes. kinda surprise. this GB has been going for a while, so I guess they have ready stock.

prices are dropping as days past... now 55" can get for under 1.5k
i got mine (still not delivered) for 1.5K
Hopefully deliver by this week
