Hello, any current note 13 users can confirm local set already can update to HyperOs? Or current still MiUI?

Hi, is it true that Redmi/Poco budget phones will become slow after 1 year or so and the hardware spoils easily? On paper the specs for Redmi13 and C65 look better than Oppo, Vivo, Realme and Samsung alternatives for RAM and storage capacity (prefer 256Gb or at least 128Gb) and the price is more attractive. Main use is streaming videos from YT and taking photos. No gaming. A lot of the cheap budget phones have low RAM. Will 4Gb be enough for the stated usage? Do all these brands have a lot of ads and bloatware?

Xiaomi's main advantage in this <$200 price tier is only ram/storage, but 8gb ram is "overkill" especially paired with the low tier CPU they have. 8GB primarily is for gaming or heavy multitasking(miui certainly not suited since it loves background killing apps). 4GB suffice for today's basic youtube, messaging, socialmedia, banking & shopping apps

Samsung budget series is decent this year but they are usually 4GB/128GB but are finally ahead in CPU because Xiaomi has been stuck for 3 years "coasting by reputation" hoping people still think they are value kings

For the same price or even lower
Redmi A3's G36 can get A05's G85
Redmi 13C's G85 can get A05s's Snapdragon 680
Redmi Note 13 4G's Snapdragon 685 can get A15's G99

To get Redmi/Xiaomi's G99, need to spend like $220+ for their M6 Pro

It's the same Architecture, Clocks, Cores config, Process node, Manufacturer, GPU

Benchmarks all the same only 1900+ Geekbench 6, best explanation is for marketing since it's a low-mid 2022 chip and they have to clear stock now it's 2024. Same with Dimensity 7200 vs Pro vs Ultra, no discernable difference.

Not the first time they pulled off this dishonest practice, nearly most of Dimensity 700, 800, 900 chips gets repackaged to Dimensity 1000, 6000, 7000 series to pass off as new releases

Unless there's some voodoo magic Mediatek is doing the public can't see, Ultra has lost all meaning. Ultra is supposed to mean the very edge. If your low-end offering is Ultra, you're doing it wrong.

Hi all, just bought the Note 13 pro. Overall pretty good phone, just the theme and lock screen sibei messy, till i turn off fingerprint logon.

Currently with the original casing, the gesture hard to use as difficult to swipe from the very edge. So change back to button though i prefer gesture.

Battery drains quite fast while setting up phone. Battery comparable to my rip huawei p40 pro, which is very long lasting. Charging speed is really fast.

Hows the camera

it is probably standard average. I previously used Note 8 pro, Note 10 pro, Note 11s and Note 12. I can't see any difference in their default cameras 13MP - picture quality high or standard, HDR on or off. the pictures all seem the same quality to me.

Thanks i want better camera, xiaomi ultra is too expensive hence looking for options
As long the camera is decent, i am ok 😄.

Imo, the note series are low to mid range, basically if you don't spend more, how to have really good quality camera.
