Has been reported in Miui forum. So far there is no sure work solution. Seem only happen from Miui 6 and 7. Miui 5 is fine.

If you are using a global rom. It should fix this issue.

If you are using cn rom, you will have problem with notification if you clear all memory from recent.

I am on global developer rom 5.12.10 for the past 1 day, I am not missing whatsapp notification.

Seems like it could be my GPS. It was not sensitive at all when I was inside Liang Court, but it worked after I got on the bus.

Btw, some quick updates on the global developer rom 5.12.10. The whatsapp has been quite smooth not locking out. The reason why I am able to tell because I am on my laptop WhatsApp web at the same time and I barely see any disconnection.

I went to the service centre for my Miband problem. The CSO upon seeing my phone is on 5.12.10, he says this must be the problem because its beta. He encourages flashing sg rom 7.0.12.0. But I told him I was on China developer rom miui before the Miband stopped to record the stats back in Nov. No choice, he gives me Miband from behind (not sure new or refurbished) and says then I can take a replacement to test. Now I am charging it, hope the new dongle works...

As for the so called sg rom, I asked him where to download since its not in the miui website. No idea, may take months, may never upload...

The PM i sent you contains the latest fastboot global rom which is 7.0.12. Same as what sg rom is. In fact, HK, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia all uses this global rom.

Personal opinion, China Roms can't beat Global roms as more staff in software developments is dedicated to China Rom than Global Rom.

Also, avoid the dev roms, was using previously dev roms for a pretty long time but i can only say developments are so so, adding features only instead of solving real issues like wifi cuts and battery life.

Stick to stable.... been there tested. The additional features haha doubt any of us will use on daily basis.

Btw guys, don't pressure the counter cso, he is there to file your reports only. He will pass whatever info he is told,to you. Only the actual technician knows all the software and hardware staff.

the bug is in the batt saver background restriction. flash dev rom for the working version...

Please don't misunderstand...
I merely asked him couple times to confirm on the firmware, because I am quite surprised he concluded the error is due to my phone on global developer rom. But anyway, thanks to them exchanging a new Miband, it works le. I was least expecting a hardware problem...

During my visit to them, to me, they are quite experience on their product and able to do at least more than simple checking before bring to next level to repair. They can even teach u how to use the phone. Able to tell is your phone genuine.
