What I mean is copy a folder from the phone's internal storage to external microSD card.

Oops ok I just tested it is indeed very slow as I tried with a 5mb file and it took more than 30 secs.

Class 10. But very fast when transferring wirelessly from pc. So definitely not related

Yah lor, the transfer is very very slow and it is not about the speed of the microSD card because even with the slowest Class 2, it wouldn't be so slow.

I remember that on MIUI 7, I could still copy without any problem.

could it be the transfer cable?

but then again.. weird.. then u try copying the files into a SD card take out and copy it out to your computer..

reset factory and try again.. see if still have the same problem.. if yes then report bug ba

i think they are referring to copying files from phone storage to microsd...no cables required

If this problem didn't exist in miui 7 which I assume, then it has to be a bug in miui 8

If it's not some rouge app or high battery temp causing it then your last alternative is to downgrade back to miui 7

have to use the .tgz and miflash method to go back. that's what I did for going back to 7.3.6.0. 7.3.6.0 still the best so far.

You mean the Mi Account backup?

The Mi cloud backup is only good for backing up system settings like contacts, SMS etc. For installed apps it takes a very long time cos upload is slow
