It would be easier to visualise if you measure amounts in '000 and 2 decimal points. Percentage also 2 decimal points.

For example
2019 Jun 1523.84, 29.55, 1.98%

The way I do, I keep full precision of the raw data in Excel and then apply the format to show in Ks and 2 decimal.

Care to share your P&L + Div performance to make us drool more? ;)

Fresh capital injected over 5 years is not $400k, a big chunk of that is actually unrealised gains. :o
I would say $457k over 10 years. Yup, using salary, bonus & dividends.

Time to update n/w numbers. August has been a bad month.
Networth down about 2%, YTD networth growth 10.7%, out of that 50% contribution is from new salary savings.

All figures in '000 SGD

Wow bro, how did you manage to save 5K per month when living in Singapore? And you work 7 years only to become a millionaire?

If you start to acquire hard assets, your networth will drop by a huge percentage, unless you have decided to rent for your whole life.

India house is much cheaper than Asian countries..... You can build bungalows with the amount of money spent in Hdb.

Hard assets also part of networth. It is difficult to value them accurately and its value doesn't change often. If I were to acquire a hard asset, I would assume it's fair value and evaluate its change every year.

O, actually what I trying to say is those stamp duty and cost of acquiring can be quite huge if the asset is expensive.

Yeah that is true. It takes a couple of years or more, of rental income to offset those costs and just get back into the black.

This is the return on his investment in his career. Only now, after he reached the 10k+ salary mark, he is relaxing and surfing the net.

Prior to this he was probably working real hard to get to where he is now, rather than wasting time surfing investment forums on how to get rich quick :s13:

Those just starting out should stop surfing the investment forums on how to get rich and focus on your job as most wealth comes from salary, not stock trading.

Spending too much time on investment forums is definitely bad. However, focusing too much on work because of money doesnt seem good either. In the end, i tink it is better to find what u really want and work towards it. :)
The most interesting results come from challenges.
