Amazing, you choice of stocks(REITs), let you ride over the slump in STI.

Thanks :)
Honestly, largely down to luck. Trump's tariff antics had been good for my portfolio so far. He single-handedly stopped the Fed rate hike cycle.
I'm pretty sure if the president is someone else, 2019 would have been a rate hike year as the Feb reins in an overheating US economy.

How do you guys think the prolong US China trade war will impact the Asian market? It had dragging on n the market although still hanging on but appears anaemic.

This is the return on his investment in his career. Only now, after he reached the 10k+ salary mark, he is relaxing and surfing the net.

Prior to this he was probably working real hard to get to where he is now, rather than wasting time surfing investment forums on how to get rich quick :s13:

Those just starting out should stop surfing the investment forums on how to get rich and focus on your job as most wealth comes from salary, not stock trading.

Indeed. I see dividend warrior also started with just 30K in 2010? His dividend was 1K+

Ya investing is just a way to outrun inflation, most people will not become rich from investing, savings from income is the best way to build wealth.

No kids? Selfish gen?

Selfish is YOU WANT a mini you to: carry on your family name, pass on your "godly" genes, love you unconditionally, take care of you when you're old, trap your spouse into staying in an unhappy marriage, conform to social norm, accompany you because you don't want to die alone.
It's about you and your wants. Isn't it?

Why don't you adopt?
I am sure that your genes aren't special and many parentless kids out there are much better looking than you/your spouse.
