60% Stocks & reits (increase in market value :p)
30% ssb (no change)
10% cash (extra savings)

See me so up? I could only have $500 ssb :(

I actually pour in cash into CPF to meet FRS so i could at least get a stable income for my retirement. Only leftover then buy a bit of shares. My priority is to make sure i have stable retirement income to fall back on before taking risks for the left over amount

Even shares also avoid those high risk type. After market correction then dare to buy.

Shares alone is another portfolio. Need to adjust as capital changes. I leaning towards reits for div. Dun like etf.

U don't need 1 million to touch FRS. And i don't have that too 😅 mine is pretty simple. As i live simply. So by meeting FRS is good enough for me. Plan according to what you have vs what u need. I don't chase blindly. I set realistic goles for myself.

1M55 is the notion that if a couple each hits FRS at some youngish age, then by the magic of compounding they will each have ~500k when they are 55.

Actually I am a bit confused - sometimes it is called 1M65 and sometimes it is 4M65.

There's a Telegram group if you are interested to know more.

1M55 is definitely doable individually.

4M65 is possible for that small group of people who have high salary, high bonus, possibly multiple streams of CPF-contributing income and continue to work till 60+
